Well, the Christmas vintage fairs are about to start! I’ve been collecting lots of goodies recently – all these will be coming with me to the 3-day Milton Keynes fair this weekend.
Gorgeous Fiesta teapot. I love the details on this – check out that handle!
Cute little poodle ornament.
And the sweetest little soldier egg cups.
Some recent finds…
Vintage Pyrex custard pots!
The prettiest make up case.
Little Scottie dog ornament.
Tall ships mug and a sweet little painting of a country cottage.
The country is experiencing a heatwave, and I’m buying Christmas decorations! I’ve had a great run of Christmas-themed finds over the past few weeks.
Beautiful glass baubles – these are some of the prettiest I’ve ever come across.
Tiny Christmas crackers, for decorating the tree, in the original box.
Christmas biscuit tin, in really good condition.
And something I’ve been wanting to find for a while! Vintage Dala horses, with original Nils Olsson stickers on the base. These will be appearing in the etsy shop over the next couple of weeks.
Finally, I’m heading down to the south coast this weekend for the Vintage and Very Nice Market Bazaar in Chichester on Saturday. Open from 10am to 4pm in the Assembly Rooms, this will be my second time at the fair. It’s a great venue, and entry is free!
Hello there. There was a bit of a theme to this weekend’s finds.
This Merit Marble Fun game has the best graphics! (edit: I’ve just discovered that this was designed by the talented Kenneth Townsend.)
And the fun at the circus continues with this amazing wallpaper border. There’s an elephant, a strongman, a clown, a seal, and – of course – a monkey riding a horse!
I love this little dachshund tapestry.
And this Beswick cheese dish is in the Green Fingers pattern. So pretty!
I had an enjoyable day in Market Harborough yesterday. I didn’t manage to get any photos, so instead here are some fantastic images of London in the 1950s. I found a stack of these vintage postcards recently, which will be making their way to my Etsy shop.
